Abeautiful 1.5 acre of natural setting, the Urban Haat in Belapur, which opened in 2010, has already played host to over 35 events, the Navi Mumbai Art Festival, which starts tomorrow, being the latest addition to the list.
The space, with abundant greenery, elegant winding pathways, and myriad stalls, has been developed by CIDCO as a permanent space for crafts, food and cultural activities.
The main aim for developing this has been to get rid of the middle-men and ensure that artisans directly sell their products to the consumer and till date over 4000 artisans have exhibited their goods here at various exhibitions.
Starting from March 1, Urban Haat plans to host 100 continuous days of art, and they have invited artisans from all over the country to display their works here.
