Like the Moto X Force, the Moto Z Force comes equipped with Moto ShatterShield technology for its display enabling the screen to stay crack or shatter-free when dropped.
Both Motorola Moto Z and Motorola Moto Z Force will come equipped with Moto Mods, for compatibility with future generations of Moto Z smartphones. The Moto Mods were demonstrated by Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher in a special satellite video at the Lenovo Tech World 2016. The mods, which function like magnets attach to the Moto Z smartphones using 16 dots on the phones, which could enable them to be transformed into a more powerful camera or stereo, and of course extra battery. The Moto Mods will come bundled with the JBL SoundBoost, the Moto Insta-Share Projector (meant to deliver a 70-inch projector experience), and the Power Pack (said to provide up to 22 hours of additional battery life).
Both smartphones will be launched and made availabe in the United States later as the Moto Z Droid and the Moto Z Force Droid by tech firm Verizon Wireless. While no details have been offcially shared yet, they might feature a fingerprint scanner on the home button, a USB Type-C port instead of the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pricing for both phones is yet to be annouced by Lenovo.
