If you wish to channelise your child's free time towards constructive and meaningful avenues, the summer workshops organised by Welfare Of Stray Dogs (WSD) sound like an ideal option


The Welfare Of Stray Dogs (WSD), an animal welfare NGO that sterilises and immunises stray dogs, has announced fun-filled summer workshops for kids on various activities with street dog themes. You can choose from any of the activities given below to make good use of your vacations.

Story Telling Workshop with Jerry Pinto, Journalist and Author where the focus will be on spinning stories about street dogs.
On: Saturday, May 12, 11 am to 1 pm
Age: 5 to 10 years

Painting Workshop with Art For Akanksha, a division of The Akanksha Foundation. Learn how to draw pictures of street dogs in a creative and fun way.
On: May 17, 11 am to 1 pm
Age: 9 to 15 years

Photography Workshop with Arko Datta, award-winning photojournalist and Co-founder of Udaan - School Of Photography. Learn the art of photographing your favourite street animal. Participants must bring their own camera.
On: May 19, 10 am to 12 pm
Age: 9 to 15 years

Origami Workshop with Sonya Shastri, WSD volunteer.
On: May 24, 11 am to 1 pm
Age: 5 to 10 years

Writing Workshop with Lyla Bavadam, Journalist.
On: May 26
Age: 9 to 15 years

Street Dog Treasure hunt - Find street dogs near city landmarks as the treasure with given clues.
On: June 2, 9 am
Age: 5 to 15. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.
At: Workshops other than Photography and Street Dog Treasure Hunt will be conducted at Dream Catchers Hall, Greenfields Organic Shop, Army Navy Building, Kala Ghoda.
