Samsung launched Gear S3 smartwatch in India on January 10 at a price of Rs. 28,500. The smartwatch will be available across all Samsung retail stores from January 18, 2017. The watch is available in two variants- Classic and Frontier.
The Frontier model of the smartwatch has a rugged design, while the classic variant has a refined look. Both the sports cases of Gear S3 are made of high-end watch grade 316L steel. Samsung is touting that the rotation bezel in the smartwatch helps to pick up calls and snooze alarms even without touching the screen.
The Frontier model is enabled with a cellular radio chip that allows it to connect with 4G mobile networks. The watch does not need to get tethered with smartphones in order to use internet or make calls. Gear S3 smartwatches flaunt 1.3-inch always-on display Super AMOLED tech, Gorilla Glass SR+ protection, 1GHz dual-core processor, 380mAh battery, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Both the watches are dust and water resistance.
