Head to Design Do, an event where Mumbai-based designers and architects will come together to exhibit their work and promote design
Design is one aspect of our lives that can't be ignored as it is in everything we touch and see. On that note, Mubina and Aziz Kachwalla, owners of the contemporary design store, At-Tin are organising Design Do, an event that endeavours to build and promote Mumbai's existing design activity and create a platform, where independent designers and studios will come together under one roof and showcase their work.
Audiences can look forward to works by 11 designers (ranging from architects, graphic designers, product and textile designers to ceramic artists). Mubina speaks on the focus of the event, "We wanted to display products, which would not only be utilitarian but also have an intrinsic aesthetic value, be well- proportioned and well-crafted. It was all about bringing good design into functional objects." Apart from the display of collections, the opening day will feature a talk by Kaiwan Mehta, editor of Domus India and director of Parsons, and Rajeev Thakker of Studio X.
Designs to be featured at Design Do
