New Delhi: Eyeing country's lucrative mobile market, handset manufacturer Phicomm has challenged its Chinese rivals Xiaomi, Gionee and Meizu in India with Passion 660 4G smartphone at Rs 10,999.
Phicomm Passion 660 dual-sim smartphone will go on sale from June 9 for Rs 10,999 on e-commerce website Amazon India.
Passion 660 sports a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone runs Android KitKat 4.4 and is powered by 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor coupled with 2GB RAM.
The phone comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 64 GB via microSD cards. Passion 660 packs 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for selfie lovers.
The smartphone gets its power from a 2300mAh battery. On connectivity front, Passion 660 supports 4G, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v 4.0 and a micro-USB slot.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi forayed into Indian market with the launch of three smartphones - Mi 3, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note, priced aggressively at Rs 13,999, Rs 6,999 and Rs 9,999, respectively.
Another Chinese handset maker Gionee entered Indian market with ELife E7 smartphone in December. The company later unveiled its Elife S5.1 smartphone at Rs 18,999 and dubbed it as 'world's slimmest smartphone'.
On similar lines, Alibaba-backed Chinese major Meizu made its India debut with M1 Note smartphone at Rs 11,999.
