Cross 35 obstacles while running, bouldering and crawling at the debut edition of the city's first fun run
If you get an adrenaline rush from climbing walls or swimming in icy waters, sign up for the debut edition of Herculean Run. It will be held this weekend at an adventure park in Thane district. Open to all above 14 years, the two-hour event in a 4km arena packs in 35 obstacles that require participants to crawl through mud, traverse mazes and jump across wooden planks.
"It's Mumbai's first fun run and one of the world's largest obstacle runs. You don't need to be an experienced long distance runner to join the race. The idea is to have fun," says Pradip Nagawekar, MD of Paresh Constructions, event co-organisers.
Participants can sign up either as Challengers or Enjoyers. A Challenger needs to complete the entire race within stipulated time while the second category offers you a chance to roll, jump and run at your own pace. You can also cheer from the sidelines. Later, solve brain puzzles as part of Knock Out Games, dance to groovy tunes spun by a DJ at an after-party, bite into finger foods at the stalls set up in the premises or attend a Zumba session.
