It will soon be five years since Indian rock band Agnee released their debut album, but the band seems in no hurry to get itself a manager.

Mohan and Koco of rock band Agnee

Band members Mohan and Koco chalk it down to "laziness". In spite of the self-proclaimed flaw, the band has, over the years, managed to land itself a number of plum projects, the latest being a song for the upcoming superhero film, which stars Robert Downey Jr and Scarlett Johansson.

"It just fell into our lap. We didn't pitch for it," shares Mohan about the project that will see the band score the theme for the film's India release, in April.

"The idea is to make something that clicks with the youth," says Mohan about the song, which features Hindi lyrics by writer-director Abbas Tyrewala.

"We don't like making songs, which give the story away," he adds, explaining the theme of the song. "It's an inspirational song sort of an anthem. It's basically about fighting against evil."

The song is slated to release in the last week of March before the film releases in India in the month of April.

More music ahead

The band is also busy with their second album, which they plan to release on May 15. "We have locked the date, because that day will mark our fifth anniversary, though the album isn't yet complete," shares Mohan about the album titled, Create With Agnee.

"It will basically be a compilation of all the singles that we have released over the past few years, as well as three or four new songs," says the musician. The band also plans to include a DVD featuring concert footage from past collaborations. "We plan to do one with all the artists we have collaborated with."

Copyright or left?
"We ask people to be morally right and buy a CD, but at the same time we don't give them anything new," says Mohan, explaining the decision to include a DVD. "Through the DVD, we are trying to provide that extra something to music lovers."

Who are the Avengers?
The Avengers are a fictional team of superheroes that made their comic-book debut in September 1963. The team originally comprised Iron Man (Tony Stark), Ant-Man (Dr Henry Pym), Wasp (Janet Van Dyne), Thor, and the Hulk (Bruce Banner). Writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby created the team, who fight 'the foes no
single superhero can withstand'. The 2012-film is directed by Joss Whedon.
