Washington: Chinese site WPXAP has revealed a prototype version of Microsoft Lumia 950 XL ahead of the official launch.
Microsoft is planning to launch its Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL Windows Phone devices later this year. It is currently testing the handset in protective black casing to prevent leaks. Also, it will come with a USB-C connector for charging.
The company looks set to unveil both the 5.2-inch Lumia 950 and 5.7-inch Lumia 950 XL during an event in late September or October.
The Lumia 950 XL will include support for Microsoft's Surface Pen technology and a new smart cover that has a circular cut out for easy access to notifications.
The upcoming Microsoft's Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, which will be launched later this year, is likely to sport biometric authentication and iris scanner.
As per the reports, the devices have been codenamed Talkman and Cityman, respectively. The Talkman (Lumia 950) will sport a Matte White or black polycarbonate body and 5.2 inch WQHD (1440x2560) OLED display. The smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 808, 64-bit Hexa core coupled with 3GB of RAM.
Lumia 950 will have Iris scanner (infrared) for Windows Hello and will offer 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot. It will pack a 20MP PureView rear camera and 5MP Wide-angle front facing camera. The device gets its juice from a 3000 mAh removable battery with Qi wireless charging.
On the other hand, Cityman (Lumia 950 XL) will also feature a Matte White or black polycarbonate body but will have a 5.7 inch WQHD (1440x2560) OLED display will Snapdragon 810, 64-bit Octa core, Iris scanner (infrared) for Windows Hello and 3GB of RAM.
The phone offers 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card, 20MP PureView rear camera with triple LED flash and a 5MP Wide-angle front facing camera. The smartphone packs a 3300 mAh removable battery with Qi wireless charging and integrated USB Type-C.
