Tired with all the scuttling around? Try a foot spa

Are you among those whose work involves a lot of travelling and legwork on daily basis in the reeling Capital heat? Do you find yourself staring at your arms and feet, wondering what to do about that tan? Join the club. I've often thought of visiting a spa to pamper my feet but the thought of spending the same amount on my shoesu00a0 excited me more, until this weekend when I decided to give some relief to my much tired soles.

As I stepped inside the Aroma Thai Foot Spa, the earthy interiors and low lighting immediately had a soothing effect. Taking in the ambience of the place, I entered the spa room which was lit up with scented candles. As it was my first foot spa, I opted to go for a basic Arokaya therapy, an ancient Thai herbal message in essence.
Two masseuse offered me soft chappals to wear and a pat dry later, I was asked to get into soft linen pants. The oversized pants could easily fit three of my size as I struggled to tie it. I had just got comfortable in my seat, when a guy came by my side and started rubbing my feet. I was a bit apprehensive at first, (with him pressing strategic pressure pointsu00a0 on my sole and working around in circles near my ankle bone!) but nevertheless relaxed after a few minutes. What's better than having somebody release the tension in those nerve-laden toe tips!

I was all smiles in my dream world when I felt my left foot being swaddled in a soft napkin and the right one being gently kneaded with lemongrass oil. I was awake now, and every inch of my feet was tingling with happiness and the nerves and muscles felt light. I ended my session with manicure and pedicure. I was offered lemon tea to conclude the sitting, which would stimulate my appetite.

Apart from Arokaya therapy, the place also offers other types of massages like head to toe massage, hot stone therapy which engages the use of smooth warm basalt stones and aromatherapy. It was time for me to leave now. But before I checked out, I already had made my mind to revisit the place for another spa-licious evening.
