Juhu based uber-swank Chinese restaurant Balthazar has introduced a new set menu for those with small appetite. Dig in for a taste of paradise

This might be the Chinese Year of the Dragon but not everyone can eat like a dragon. Though buffet dinners promise an all you can eat meal, what does one do when all you can eat is tiny portions?

Especially since paying for the entire course might feel like a rip off. To solve your gastronomic woes, authentic Chinese cuisine restaurant Balthazar has launched the set menu, tailor made for the small eater.

Their unlimited buffet system, which is quite a success has on offer over hundred dishes to choose from extends its menu to the set meal offer. The only difference - the portions are limited and you pay just Rs 375 per head (vegetarian and non-vegetarian, inclusive of all taxes) for a sumptuous six-course meal.

Sunil Hingorani, proprietor of the eatery says, "Our buffet system was quite a hit but in order to cater to those who prefer smaller portions we came up with the set meal. This way, you pay for only how much you eat." The set meal starts with a menu of over 20 different soups to choose from. One can go for the Chicken Coriander soup, Tom Yum or Balthazar's signature Sweet Corn Soup that comes with slight twist.

If finger food is your weakness, get spoilt for choice with more than 30 vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

Chicken lovers can sample Chicken in Dry Red Chilli while seafood lovers can opt for the Special Prawns in Soya Chilli Sauce. Which Chinese meal can be complete without a serving of delicious momos? Vegetarians can plumb for the very popular Coriander Dumplings.

From the main course, select from over 40 delectable dishes and savour delicacies including Chicken in Basil Flavour, Fish or Prawn cooked in their Special Yellow Bean Sauce, Mofu Tofu or veggies cooked in Black Bean Sauce.

Seafood addicts can also include a dish of their choice to the entire course.

What's particularly interesting is that Balthazar promises an authentic Chinese experience and takes care of little details such as sautéing all their veggies and meat rather than batter frying them to stay true. End your set meal on a sweet note by gobbling down their Banana Toffee or Honey Noodles from their dessert menu.

At: Juhu Tara Road, near SNDT College, Santacruz (W).

Open 7 days a week; the set meal menu is available for lunch and dinner.
