Motorola Turbo

Motorola finally unveiled the much-awaited Turbo yesterday. Priced at Rs 41,999, the Turbo is the second most expensive device on offer by the Canadian smartphone maker, and also the most feature-rich.

The device comes pre-loaded with Android Lollypop 5.0, a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 2560x1440 that offers an impressive 565ppi pixel density.

It also gets a 21-megapixel rear camera that can capture 4K video. It is powered by 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 QSC 8084 quad core processor with 3Gb RAM, 64GB in-built storage and 3900mAh battery, which Motorola claims lasts more than a full day.

With connectivity, the Moto Turbo supports 2G, 3G as well as 4G (unfortunately, G support is limited to LTE Cat4 Band 1/ 2/3/4/5/7/17, none of which is supported in India) cellular connections, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi a/b/c/g/n bands.

Moto Turbo also comes with Motorola's Turbo charger that they claim, provides up to seven hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging.

The device is available in India as a ballistic nylon variant, which is a reference to premium ballistic nylon, used to make its outer shell (similar to the material used to make backpacks) and the DuPont Kevlar fibre underneath, which, Motorola claims, is five times stronger than steel. The device will be sold only on a pre-order basis.
