Good news for students who are not financially well-off and have studied in vernacular medium schools. They can enroll for free at Sujaya Foundation's English and computer programmes
Financially strained students will like the sound of this. The Mumbai-based Sujaya Foundation NGO is offering a helping hand to such candidates.
The Sanjaya Foundation teaches English and computer basics to students
The NGO conducts a special English and computer immersion programme for needy youth that is entirely free.
The basics of computers are also taught here. The programme, which began in January 2003, is a full-day intensive programme after which they try to provide sincere students with internships/jobs with reputed, well-established organisations.
A sterling example is former candidate, Mohammed Manzar, who had enrolled for the course.
Today, he is working in Japan while five students who enrolled for the same programme now work with a private bank. While the course is free of cost, a Rs 1,000 deposit is charged, which is refundable if the student attends regularly.
