Songbound, a non-government organisation, and the Jesus College choir from Britain, has brought about a change into the lives of less-fortunate children through a series of workshops that taught them singing techniques and new songs. The programme also included Indian songs and some classics.
The choir has selected 200 of these children to collaborate with them for a much-anticipated performance at one of Mumbai's favourite lounges, Blue Frog today.
While the choir is catering to the socially-deprived children from the slums on one hand, on the other, they are performing for music lovers from all over the city.
Joe Walter, CEO of Songbound, says "It's a great platform for such children to work with world-class musicians and discover their hidden talent and capabilities."
