A unique show is in the offing which will showcase an eclectic mix of avant garde art and candid clicks of Bollywood celebrities. The images have been shot by graduating students at FAD International. Blue Billion Group (BBG) and art school FAD International have collaborated to organise this event.
The event will also exhibit the artworks of 13 young Italian photographers and their journey to India. Inspired by Bollywood and its impact on society, the exhibit had found place at the Turin National Cinema Museum in Italy and is specially being flown down to India.

This year the show, Rise Above will flaunt a plethora of creative, innovative and conceptual pieces of art and design that will not only visually engage but also provoke thought, leaving a lasting impression on the viewer.u00a0The exhibition is a melting pot of various creative mediums, from conceptual photography to installation art, video, performance, drawing, painting and avant-garde futuristic designs.u00a0
"Pune is considered to be the cultural capital of the country and draws some of the quirkiest and unique artists from India and globally. My penchant for art and photography was the sole reason to be associated with the event. The best part about this exhibit is that all the photographers and artists involved are young talented students with a hunger that comes out beautifully in all their work.

Every artwork and photograph emulates vivid emotions that stun the viewer. I am delighted to be able to bring this festival in the city," said Kishore Navandar, Chairman and Managing Director, BBG.u00a0Aparna Guru's Sugar and the city, an installation that displays a caramelised Pune city skyline compliments Mariya Zoheb's Urban Drift.

A 3D metal visualisation of a futuristic city devoid of anything organic, sets the tone for the show. Such is the message conveyed by the piece by Shruti Suttatti and Hemangini Maharaul which literally includes 50 alarm clocks that will be set off in synchrony in the course of the opening night. Enlarged scientific drawings of cancer cells, pop art commenting on rising petrol prices and resurrecting Baroque paintings through contemporary photography, are just some of the highlights of the show.
The Bollywood photography event will showcase never-before-seen images of celebrities such as Vidya Balan, Gulzar and others. Actor Vatsal Seth, Bollywood lyricist Sameer, actress Amruta Khanvilkar and actor Randhir Kapoor will be the celeb quotient in attendance at this event.
