Even though our world is packed cheek by jowl with fashion stores, big and small, yet sometimes it becomes a herculean task to find a dress with that perfect fit or a print that 10 other people in the city are not sporting.
In such situations a store like Memore will come to your rescue. This was the good news and the even better news is that now you can shop for their products from the comfort of your home through their newly-launched online platform.
Located in Bandra, Memore, started by ex-radio jockey Shruti Bhola and former merchandiser Swabhi Mangal, has been up and about for two years and houses an eclectic mix of clothes, accessories (bags, statement jewellery, stoles and hair accessories) besides quirky collectibles. All clothes are designed inhouse and the focus is on quality cotton, fitting and a bohemian character. For all the collectibles the store houses, they travel the country and hand-pick products which can be urbanised while keeping the vintage intact.
"Memore is all about capturing today's urban Indian soul. The whole idea of starting Memore was to bring good fabric and simple-yet-experimental cuts to today's women. We try and work with all kinds of materials and ideas, so people are prepared to get surprised each time they visit us, with lots of fun stuff that tickles their imagination. This will hold true for our online store as well," informs Bhola.
The online store offers all that is available at their Bandra store. Products that are a riot of colours, quirky and feel-good are all up for grabs on the website from a red polka dot dress to a multi-hued kaftan and vintage-inspired bags and accessories. Although the website has been launched, it will be fully functional from next week. Till then make your pick, we say.
