If you thought canvas is just meant to be put on walls, it's time to rethink. Let There Be Light is an art show where curator Jasmine Shah Varma thought of giving the traditional canvas a twist, literally! 15 artists have painted specially crafted canvas shades. Though canvas is a traditional medium, the shape of the lamp (a circular form) changes the dynamics of painting as opposed to a flat surface.u00a0

The artists participating in this exhibition are Brinda Miller, Datta Bansode, Devangana Chhabria, Nitin Dadrawala, Payal Khandwala, Pradeep Mishra, Priti Kyal, Ramesh Gorjala, Sadanand, Shruti Nelson, Sheetal Gattani, Smriti Dixit, Soumen Das, Sunil and Tanuja Padwal.
The lamps are in five different shapes including floor lamps, table lamps and lamps suspended from the ceiling. That sums up to 30 wood-based accessible and conventional art pieces. The themes range from abstracts, figurative sketches to colourful, floral ones.
