Yes, you read that right. Apple Inc. has now decided to patent a white paper bag. But, not as it's own invention, since the product already exists.
The idea is to alter the way the bag tends to hold together, since white paper bags tend to be extremely flimsy and easily tearable due to the amount of recycled material and bleach utilised in making them.
Apple's objective is to reinforce the folds, gussets, the bottom, and also a form a handle "formed entirely of paper fibre yarn knitted in an 8-stitch circular knit pattern".
