Dear Diana,
After courting me for months, my guy suddenly stunned me by saying that he is married. As he is from Rohtak, there was no way I could know anything as he has no family in Mumbai. He tells me he will be seeking divorce as he has an unhappy marriage and has no kids. I am heartbroken. Should I discontinue our relationship right away or should I wait and give him a chance to prove himself right?

Dear Dikshi,
If you want to forgive him, it is your call. But do remember that you can no longer trust him. If he could hide such a big aspect of his life, wonder what he will do about smaller things. He looks like living a life of lies and deceit. It was important that he tell you what he was up to. He took you for a jolly ride and now when he realised that you were getting serious, he spilled the truth. Think whether you can trust him. If he makes amends, it is up to you to accept him again.
Dear Diana,
I'm 26 and have fallen for a girl in our institute. We are researching for our PhD in the same department. She's of the same age too. I'm mad about her although she doesn't give a damn about me. On top of that, she's always surrounded by people so it's difficult to talk to her. We've been with each other for about two years now and I'm yet to talk to her. It's sad not being able to make the
first move.

Dear Shailesh,
You seem to be tongue-tied when you are around her. Two years is a long time to strike a friendship and that, too, with someone who is in your class. As you are in the same department, there is no shortage of topics of conversation. You can ask her about her thesis or have a query about your work. She may be always with people, but that should not deter you from not talking to her.
