IN PHOTOS: 5 times actor Sonali Kulkarni aced the saree look

Sonali Kulkarni, who recently celebrated her 50th birthday alongside the completion of 100 films, has been seen donning a wide range of sarees at various events. Sharing her love for the six yards, she told mid-day.com, “I love Banarasi and crepe silk sarees - basically anything that is handwoven. I’m a slow fashion girl. I depend on sarees from red carpets to weddings, cocktails to book fairs. You just can’t go wrong with it. The clean Indian regular drape is my favourite but I’m quite open to experimenting with blouses and different kinds of drapes. The saree embodies the essence of a femme fatale - elegant, sensuous, regal and irresistibly glamorous." Here are a few of her saree looks that we love.

Kulkarni wears a classic black saree with zari work, paired with a yellow sleeveless blouse which adds a pop of colour. She completes her look with chunky gold earrings and a red rose on her hair. Minimal accessories make the look stand out.

This black and white striped saree with a contrasting red cold shoulder blouse makes for a powerful look. Her hair are tied into a neat French roll accentuating the matt gold danglers. The statement gold ring finishes this stand out look.

This mustard yellow handloom saree, teamed with a kalamkari blouse, classic oxidised temple jewellery and hair worn loose with soft cascading curls makes this look an absolute winner.

Kulkarni goes for a simple yet elegant look with this mint linen saree. She aces the look with a messy hairdo and pearl and gold jewellery. The highlight of this look is her kohl-accentuated eyes.

This look, featuring a royal blue self-pleated saree with a contrasting boat necked, three quarter sleeved black blouse, embodies a range from board room to banquet. The art deco tribal jewellery adds a flair to the entire look.
