While there are many different kinds of kites, some of the most unique ones was the smiley or emoji face that has become popular over the years. In this photo, enthusiasts fly kites during the International Kite Festival, in Rajkot on Sunday, January 12.

While the emoji stood out, there was also a touch of nostalgia with a kite in the shape of Tom from the popular Cartoon Network show 'Tom and Jerry' seen at the festival in Rajkot.

The themes also went a step ahead with otherworldly representations of aliens that flew high to attract the attention of visitors during the International Kite Festival 2025, in Ahmedabad in Gujarat on Saturday, January 11.

The festival also saw sea creatures flying high in the air as people flew kites shaped like different kinds of fish which visitors got to see them in Ahmedabad in Gujarat on Sunday, January 12.

Last but not the least, there was also something for sports fans, as a football soared high into the air on Sunday during the festival in Ahmedabad on Sunday, January 12.
