As Indian anti-caste scholar Sumit Samos took to the stage in the last few days, he has also been joined by Suraj Yengde, another scholar on the subject of caste. Elsewhere at the festival, Indian-American author Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, known for ‘The Palace of Illusions’ and ‘The Forest of Enchantments’ took to the stage to discuss her latest book ‘Independence: A Novel’ with Indian author Aanchal Malhotra. Historian and author Rana Safvi discussed her book ‘Tears of the Begum’ with Vidya Shah in the session titled ‘Tears of the Begum: Begumat ke Aansoo’.
