Yusuf Dikec

This Olympics has put the spotlight on shooters beyond their disciplines and Kim Ye-ji is proof. At a time when Ye-ji went viral for her glass, Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec went viral for having the bare minimum on him while shooting - a white jersey and spectacles. Social media users even said it looks like he had just woken up from his sleep and chose to shoot at the event. Dikec won the silver medal in the 10m air pistol event along with his teammate Sevval Ilayda Tarhan.

Kim Ye-ji

South Korean shooter Kim Ye-ji has been immortalised for her look at the Paris Olympics 2024 after she appeared in a baseball cap and an all-black ensemble while wearing glasses that was other-worldly, and led to many people calling her a cyborg too. This time around, Ye-ji dominated the 25m pistol event through most of the rounds but fell short to fellow Korean Oh Ye-jin, and had to settle for the silver medal, while India's Manu Bhaker won the bronze medal

Yaruslava Mahuchikh

Ukranian high jumper Yaruslava Mahuchikh has become the latest sportsperson to go viral after she took a nap during her high jump event. Mahuchikh, who is also a world record holder, won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, but not before taking a nap, meditating or resting in her sleeping bag in between her jumps

Stephen Nedoroscik

As soon as people saw US gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik, they fell in love with him not only for his podium finish for pommel horse. Turns out, bespectacled Nedoroscik not only plays Rubik's Cube but also video games. At the Olympics, he even helped the US gymnastics team win a medal.

Tom Daley

English diver Thomas Daley, popularly known as Tom Daley, has gone viral yet again after first getting the spotlight at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, for keeping himself busy by knitting. The 30-year-old, who is also from the LGBTQIA+ community, is known to knit sweaters and pouchers not only to depict and create memorabilia from the Olympics but also a pouch for the medal that he has won, while being a spectator. At the Paris Olympics, Daley won the silver won the silver medal in the 10m platform synchronised event with Noah Williams
