The Nobel Prize in Literature 2024 – Han Kang

South Korean author Han Kang was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature “for her intense poetic prose that confronts historical traumas and exposes the fragility of human life.” She is known for her works like ‘The Vegatarian’, ‘Human Acts’ and ‘Greek Lessons’.

The Nobel Peace Prize 2024 – Nihon Hidankyo

The efforts of Nihon Hidankyo and other representatives of the Hibakusha (movement of atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki) to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons were awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize 2024.
