Every year, Mumbaikars, who are followers of every religion, come to visit Mount Mary Church during Bandra Fair to pray and seek the help and blessings of Mother Mary.

They not only spend time sitting in the church and praying but also take their time walking through the Bandra Fair that starts from Mount Mary Steps.

Stopping at each and every stall, the crowd not only saw youngsters but also children come with their parents, and even the elderly.

While some stopped by to buy kadio bodios, others stopped at stalls to buy halwa, and even kala channa and petha.

Interestingly, they didn't leave without buying some statues, books, and indulging in some knicks-knacks.

With Kerala halwa being a topseller at the Bandra Fair, many Mumbaikars flocked the Kerala stall for not only halwa but also chips and other South Indian favourites.

Many parents were seen with their children, who were not only having a good time, but were also enjoying sweet and savoury treats while walking down Mount Mary Church steps.

The fair is seeing not only the Christian community but also others who are visiting not just the church but also visiting the fair in large groups of friends, families and neighbours.

While the food stalls were hugely popular, the book stalls also saw many youngsters and elder take their pick as they were being sold for Rs 100 onwards.

If the food and books were seeing their stalls full, the jewellery shops were full too as young and old women, who were looking through the different options, chose a variety of jewellery pieces.

Even as the sun was shining bright and making the weather hot, people were enjoying the fair in between short breaks of wiping the sweat from their foreheads.
