It's a known fact that doctors resort to music for relaxation after hours of stress in their areas of expertise. Today we bring forth an outstanding personality who is sailing smooth in all the above domains.
Born in Bhadravathi, a renowned city in Karnataka, around 280 kms from the state capital Bengaluru, Manoj Sharma a budding personality in the cine industry has added feather in the state's cap. He is born to Smt. Lakshmi C S and Shri. Srinivas S R, on the 4th of March, 1996. An asset to the cine industry, his contribution is abundant and is currently residing in Channarayapatna, Hassan. His mother is his first Guru and he is proud of his ever-supportive father.
Music is his passion. Vidwan K R Venkatesh and Smt. Savithri Manjunath are his classical music Gurus He is also trained under Shri. Pramod for light music.
Being the youngest voice over artist of VIACOM 18 Colors Kannada Channel, trained under Shri. Srinivas Prasad and Badekilla Pradeep, he is the voice behind various budding and established personalities. Shri. Keerthi Narayan and Smt. Hamsa Vasishta who have been very supportive to him are his senior colleagues in Colors Kannada Channel and he will remember them for a life time as they are his mentors. He is also ever grateful to Shri. Prashanth Nayak of Colours Kannada Cinema for his never ending support and guidance. It's flabbergasting to know that Manoj Sharma has recorded for IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) in 28 Indian languages and has dubbed for a mega project of Discovery Channel - Emission Impossible, which was telecast on August 15, 2020.
A final year medico, he is sure to contribute myriads to the medical fraternity, which is the need of the hour after the world has experienced the 21st century's raging pandemic. His Principal Dr. Prasanna Narasimha Rao is his backbone. Manoj Sharma has been a chief guest for various programmes in several leading medical and engineering colleges.
A rank holder under the classical music category for the state in Carnatic Music he has been bestowed with Kala Sourabha, Kalaaniketana as well as Gaana Anarghya titles.
He is also a skilled artisan and a runner up of South Indian Temple Jewellery designing contest.
He has rubbed shoulders with all the leading musicians of the State viz. Hamsalekha, Rajesh Krishnan, Archana Udupa, Vijay Prakash, Arjun Janya, Armaan Malik, and Jogi Sunita. With his solo music performances in Egypt, Singapore, Qatar, Dubai and Abu Dhabi he is internationally acclaimed.
At present he is working on a mega project - Chakravarthi's Sulibele's Kampu audio book app. A finalist in Radio City Super Singer Season - 9, he has rendered backvocals (chorus) for the movie "Robert" and also for the yet-to-be released "Turthu Nirgamana". This apart he is a playback singer in eight Indian languages. His debut movie of playback singing is Manoratha and his journey has crossed 150 Kannada movies including Kirik Party, The Villain and KGF - Chapter 1. He has also rendered back vocals for Dabangg - 3. He is the main voice for the "Aarti" in the world's biggest Hindu Temple "Akshardham".
Manoj also has collaboration with mega brands such as Nissan, Josh, Wysh and Celebyte. This apart, he manages and handles social media for more than 300 celebrities and 17 ministers including Janardhan Reddy, Katta Subramanya Naidu, B N Chandrappa, Chhote Lal Rai, V G Rajendran, Madan Sahni, A C Shanmugam and many more.
With such an Omni presence he can be rightly considered as a feather in the cap of Karnataka.
