Indian rock band Parikrama is all set to release the video for `Translucent Night` on August 3.

India's demand for organ donation surpasses its supply, and its rate of deceased organ donors stands below one donor per million population. So, why does India have only few organ donors? Iconic Indian rock band Parikrama is all set to release their new single 'Translucent Night' on August 3 to fans in India and around the world.

The song 'Translucent Night', is dedicated to promoting the vital and often ignored cause of Organ Donation. With the release of the video on August 3, commemorating India Organ Donation Day, and the audio on August 13, coinciding with World Organ Donation Day, the band aims to raise awareness and encourage more families to become organ donors potentially saving countless lives.

The video of the song features the band along with multiple characters. At the end it is revealed that all featured in the video are genuine organ recipients and donors, who have pledged their organs for donation; and no actors were used.

To lead by example each and every Parikrama band member has pledged their full body organs to the cause.

Taking it further the founder of the Delhi-based band, as well as the organist and manager, Subir Malik of Parikrama said, "In our research we found another big issue and that was that the number of people who pledged their organs and thereon which actually converted into real donations was far far apart. Hence we came up
with a solution and request full families and not only individuals, to pledge their organs this way all in the family will understand the importance of organ donation and hopefully things improve"

Parikrama is one of India's primary rock bands and have been associated with multiple social causes in the last 32 years. The band has more than 3,500 shows worldwide and has multiple releases planned ahead, apart from all-time favourites like 'But It Rained; 'Open Skies' and 'Xerox' among others. Formed in 1991, the band currently has Nitin Malik on lead vocals, Saurabh Choudhary on guitar, Gaurav Balani on bass guitar and Srijan Mahajan on drums, among others who accompany them on their tours and performances.
