In the wise words of American cooking legend Julia Child, "No one is born a great cook; one learns by doing." Cooking is both art and science. Last year saw the mushrooming of home chefs. Some learnt by force, some by choice, and some were motivated by a mix of both. From biryani to sourdough bread, social media was flooded with exquisite homemade creations. If you would like to take your cooking or baking to the next level, we have curated a wide range of culinary workshops this weekend to help you on your way. So, put on your chef's hat and get ready to conjure some kitchen magic.
Bring in some French sweetness
Mumbai's dessert fans will have surely devoured the delectable macarons from Le 15 Pâtisserie and Café. Learning how to make this delicate pastry at home will give you a greater appreciation of them. Yes, the colourful sweets can be made at home and chef Pooja Dhingra, the baker who introduced the macaron revolution in the city some years ago, will herself demonstrate how to do this. In a virtual session, she will show you how to create the macaron shell, dark chocolate ganache and coffee ganache. This class features eggs.
