Keep nails dry
Monsoon brings with it an over exposure to water. It is important to keep our hands and feet dry to avoid fungal infections, as fungus tends to grow in places where moisture gets accumulated.

Manicure and pedicure
It is advisable to get manicures and pedicures done regularly during monsoons to keep nails clean and dirt-free from inside.

Regular moisturising
Wet nails are prone to breaking easily owing to lack of moisture, one must moisturise regularly after shower and at bedtime.

Prevent breakage
Apply petroleum jelly around the cuticles before a shower, this will strengthen the nails and avoid breakage.

Comfortable footwear
Opt for comfortable footwear that won't dampen your feet and keep them dry.

Hot water routine
Soak your feet in hot water with salt or mild shampoo for 10 minutes to kill all the bacteria and to soften the skin.

Wash with soap
Wash your nails with a gentle soap to get rid of toxins and to avoid any infection and fungus.

Strengthen nails
Protect your nails by putting a base coat or a nail strengthener to prevent them from weakening.

Apply oil
Do not over style your cuticles or attack the skin, be gentle and keep them healthy with cuticle oils, this can help strengthen your nails and prevent them from getting exposed to damage or brittleness.
