Aanchal Bajwa wins 2 Golds at BW Applause Awards 2021

Aanchal Bajwa, was awarded 2 Gold awards, for the Best Private & Social Emcee and Most Stylish Emcee during the BW Applause Experiential Marketing Summit & Awards 2021 held last week. Hailing from a Defence background, living a life of balance between discipline and values helped shape her entire life. Attention to detail, crisp attire, punctuality, a keen focus on her academia and active participation in Sports and were the values instilled into her during her formative years.

All throughout school, she won awards at interschool, district, state and national levels for Swimming, WUSHU (Martial Arts) and Athletics. She won the National Child Award, a Presidential award that is India's highest civilian honour bestowed upon exceptional achievers under the age of 18. She was also honoured by the Punjab Govt. two times in a row for excellence in Sports, Co-Curricular and Academics.

However, according to Aanchal, this award is rather special, since, it is her first award as a professional Emcee. Her journey from being an engineering student to working at KPMG as a Business Analyst eventually led her to leave it all behind, and start afresh in the city of Mumbai as a TV Presenter, Corporate & Lifestyle Emcee, Actor and Model. She got the privilege to host a diversity of events within various sectors of the field. She's been a TV presenter with Star Sports-Pro Kabaddi and Colours Infinity-Global Poker league. She anchored for BOX Cricket league and the racing season at Mahalaxmi Race Course (Mumbai). Her anchoring experience also extends to music festivals like Vh1 Supersonic, multiple concerts along with launches & events for brands like Apple, Hewlett Packard, D'décor, Cotton India, Bio-Oil etc. As an Actor, she has featured in commercials for MTV, Crickbuzz, GoIbibo, Aditya Birla, Uber, to name a few. She was also adjudged the city winner (Chandigarh) and a finalist for Femina Miss Diva (Miss India Universe 2016).

But none of these achievements would have been possible without the iron-willed support from her mother, Dr. Mrs Nikki Bajwa, who took Aanchal's career shift in absolute stride. As a single parent, she managed to juggle her profession with her two children and somehow also managed to be there, motivate, and be their driving force throughout each and every life event. Aanchal says, "All my achievements stand testament to kind of parent my mother is. My harshest critic and yet my nurturing guide, she constantly coaxes me to take action towards my own destiny."
