Three Mumbai bands will give fans of Alt-Rock, Electro-Pop and Bob Dylan's best, a lot to groove over at Mad Men Rocketh, a tribute to the cult American TV show

Wanted Yesterday

It's time for Mumbai's music buffs to gear for a heady night as Pointy Zebra presents Mad Men Rocketh that will feature an explosive concoction of city bands, Laxmi Bomb, Twist To Break Seal and Wanted Yesterday.

Warren of Twist To Break Seal

Electro-Pop outfit, Laxmi Bomb, pledges to weave its music to the fabric of the city. The very theme of the band is reflective of the times, when the city was called Bombay, and is representative of its theme through a young woman's imagery.

The band will feature themes from classic Hindi cinema, served with a dash of Pop-Disco beats that will meander through the highs and lows. Laxmi has been featured in the past at various gigs including The Scene at blue FROG, MTV India and the House of Vans edition at Sitara Studio.

The delicious leads and the punchy bass-lines of Twist To Break Seal might run the danger of taking you down the memory lane. Sagar, Austin, Warren, Pratyush and Aaron, all hailing from regular day jobs, amaze audiences on weekends with what they wish to be known for.

Well-seasoned Classic Rock, dressed with some Alt-Rock and Red Hot Chili Peppers-like vibes, shall be served with some aged and catchy melodies. With a diverse playlist of each of the band members, one can safely expect a mix of melody that might just be better than any cocktail off the counter.

Wanted Yesterday, formed by the two seasoned admen Rajeev Raja and Subhash Kamath, reflect the ungodly deadlines they faced in their profession. The band plays covers of artistes like Bob Dylan and The Beatles as well as an array of classic Blues and Rock numbers. But they improvise and play each tune in their own way, much unlike the usual tribute bands.

As Keegan Pereira, the frontman of Laxmi Bomb, reassured, "It's not a typical Indie night. It's a gig for the advertising community. As every ad-campaign goes, this, we guess, is the build up leading to the launch on May 14 (today). And as a part of the teaser, we'll be playing with a new member and a new instrument."
