A Mulund school will host a two-day start-up festival to give student entrepreneurs a chance to meet potential investors, find mentors and learn about starting their own business

Over 200 student start-ups will vie for attention, and funding at the first edition of the NES Start-up Fest, beginning today at the NES International School in Mulund (W). The two-day festival, organised by the National Education Society, aims to give student entrepreneurs a chance to meet investors, gain expert guidance and mentorship to transform their ideas
into reality.

The festival includes an exhibition arena where all the registered student start-ups will get space to showcase their products and services for free. Budding entrepreneurs who may be keen to participate but have not registered yet can sign up on the spot. The intent is for participants to present their ideas, services and products in special booths like Ideal Lab, Mentor Room and B2B Meets.

As part of the fest, NES has organised workshops by industry leaders on topics like digital marketing strategy, importance of ISI certification, challenges and prospects in start-ups, social entrepreneurship and lessons on export documentation and procedures, and making a business proposal. Also present at the venue will be representatives from Small Industries Develo-pment Bank of India (SIDBI), who will talk about funding opportunities to students.
