One need not pursue writing on a professional level - it can also be used therapeutically. In order to create better thinkers and warriors with the mighty pen, here is a workshop about storytelling and writing titled Writers Retreat. One can learn more about the universal story structure through sessions slated over two days.
Michael Burns, a US-based writer and instructor, is the brain behind the event. He has been travelling for three years, conducting these workshops. "This will be the 50th such workshop. The retreat is for writers at all levels. We put together a class that anybody can take, irrespective of how good they are at writing. We have people writing about nature, authors of books as well as journalists. Anyone can come and learn something valuable here," says the 40-year-old. The clinic will also put theory into action and talk about all the steps that go into writing an unforgettable story.

"There is a problem in India. People do not know what a story is, although they want to be writers. They don't know how to put their ideas together and organise them into a story. There is a lot of advice on the Internet, there are tutorial videos as well but nobody is actually providing a concrete strategy. In our workshop, we take all the ideas floating around and get them together," says Burns. One can register for one or both the days of the retreat. Special discounts are available on
season tickets.
