It was a show devoted to the sexy, voluptuous, goddesses of the world at 6Degree Studio during Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018. The 'half Full CURVE' label, which is the brainchild of Rixi Bhatia (of Quirkbox fame) and her sister Tinka, created the brand for the stylish Plus Size women who have been ignored by the fashion fraternity (except a few) for long.
The label wanted women to flaunt their curves and that is what the collection was all about. Aimed at real women of varied sizes and shapes, the ensembles inspired by nature were devoted to Luxury Resort wear for the coming season.
The show opened with a lovely poem that spoke of promoting body positivity and encouraging women to be their own kind of beautiful.

The fabrics were a mix of pure georgette, sheer Chanderi, Dupion silk and splashed with bouquets of flowers in thread work, sequins, beadwork and lots of appliqués.
The emphasis was on textures with a profusion of wild flower motifs, delicate embroidery and pastel hues being the leitmotif of the collection.
The silhouettes were vintage, wearable and chic that would allow the fashion forward women to choose apparel from dawn to dusk.
Popular shapes were the draped lungi style skirts worn with jackets and the cowl kurtas teamed with multi-coloured covers. Metallic came to the forefront in the shape of dhotis and palazzos.
Detailing was very prominent with a profusion pin tucks, while tassels played a major role. Off-shouldered creations as well one-shouldered versions appeared frequently on the ramp along with a few up-cycled garments.
Designers Rixi and Tinka encouraged women to be body positive and confident in their skin and ignore sizes and inches when selecting their wardrobes. It was a collection that proudly announced 'My Body My Choice' which will make the wearer the stylish Diva she should be since beauty comes in all shapes, ages and sizes.
The youngest model on the ramp was a perky, 19-year-old, while the mature lady was about to turn 81 in two months, which further proved that the brand is just perfect for all ages and sizes.
The show stopper was the very elegant fashionista, Anjana Sharma who glided down the catwalk in a kimono style cover and sleek gown.
Let the lady's sartorial choices behave like a âWild Flower' and she will be allowed to paint the town in a colourful mélange of fashion language with the âhalf Full CURVE' collection by Rixi and Tinka Bhatia.
