Do the Bhangra with your baliye
Did you know that Gabroo, a colloquial term for a young stud, is an actual move in a Masala Bhangra routine? It's when you lift an arm up and push it forward as you kick with the opposite foot to the high-intensity beats of a dhol. You may have tried this with your partner at a sangeet or Bollywood night in a club, but if you're keen to ace it the next time, participate in a Masala Bhangra workshop for couples conducted by Riddhi Gupta. The Indian dance-based routine comprises 150 moves, and Gupta will teach you a dozen at the one-hour session. "It ends up being a full body cardio workout with traditional dance moves set to energetic music and drumbeats," she says.
