Hermit Sethi, director at Submerge says, "To be quite honest, the main agenda of this music conference was an extremely selfish decision. Let me explain - I've been a part of this industry for over 10 years now, and it's safe to say that not only am I a contributor, I'm also partly responsible for what the future holds. Hence, The Exchange was born out of a need to bring in structure and generate opportunities for future business between India and the UK."
Dirty Vegas
The Exchange will see representation from key names from the music industry, regulatory heads, music label honchos, management agencies, international speakers and Indian and international artists across all genres of music. There will be the Grammy Award-winning House act, Dirty Vegas, Trance legend and a huge Indian favourite John â00' Fleming and Asian Underground artist, Nerm in the event.

The music scene in India has received tremendous support from various bodies in the United Kingdom in the past few years through programs, collaborations and artist residencies. The Exchange is an effort to build on the existing relationship and further strengthen it.
Sethi adds, "Not only do we have the infrastructure today to bring down the biggest artists and put up a great show, but we also have tons of great homegrown talent who have what it takes to make it big. The aim would now be to bring about some organisation and have our governing bodies support the industry and get involved on a deeper level."
Fleming, who will be performing in the city concludes, "There's always a certain musical chemistry when myself and Pearl (DJ) play together, we share the same music ethos so the flow of the evening is just perfect. There's magical synergy and this energy gets spread and absorbed into the dance floor. Pune, don't miss this one!"
