Nepotism in the Telugu film industry

Raising the topic of nepotism, Karan went on to ask Samantha about the existence of the same in the Telugu film industry. "I think it differs from apple to apple. Nepo kids or non-nepo kids, everyone comes with their own demons and their own demons to face. It is as simple, once you are in the game, even if your father is the coach, he is still standing on the sidelines. There is nothing he can possibly do for you to win the game. There is divine intervention and the ball is always in the audience's court," she said

Ranveer Singh in the limelight

She replied, "Ranveer Singh and Ranveer Singh."He then asks Akshay Kumar, "Who would be on your guestlist if you had to host a private dinner party for industry folks?" To which, the actor responded, "I think Ranveer Singh because he will come and entertain everyone. I will just need to be quiet and he will entertain everybody. He will sit on everybody's lap. He'll kiss everybody, left, right and center. He'll do that I am sure."

As of now, yes.” She added that the situation was not amicable right now “but it may be sometime in the future”.

Samantha on acting as a career

Karan asked the actress if acting was something that always floated her boat to which she replied. "No, it wasn't. I didn't have a choice actually, coming into this profession, because things were hard at home. We didn't have much money to study further.. but then I am really glad", concluded a smiling Samantha. The self-made superstar also added, "When my father said No I can't pay your loans, that changed my life."

Akshay on being called 'Canada Kumar' and criticism on romancing younger actresses

When Karan Johar asked Akshay Kumar what's the worst thing he has read about himself, he said, "I don't read much about it. There has not been much negative written about me as well. I am lucky that way. At most, they write 'Canada'. Not more than that. I don't pay much attention."Karan quipped, "It's my favourite when trolls call you Canada Kumar." Akshay responded by saying, "Theek hai bula lo yaar."

When Karan raised the criticism around working with younger actresses, the superstar said, "They troll me for working with younger heroines because they are jealous. Why shouldn't I work with them? Do I look like I am 55? I don't understand what is the problem with it. They get jealous and write about it. Some media persons write about it or some trolls bring it up. I listen to it from one ear and let it pass from the other."
