Koffee With Karan

Ananya made Karan talk to Kartik Aaryan

Tiff between Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan has been in the news ever since the 'Bhool Bhulaiyya 2' actor was ousted from Karan's upcoming film Dostana 2.In a buzzer round, when Karan asked Vijay and Ananya to dial their celebrity friends and get them to say, "Hey Karan, it's me." Ananya called up Kartik and asked him to help her out. Ananya putting her phone on speaker, Ananya said "Kartik, Kartik, say 'Hey Karan, it's me' and tell him what you're doing." At this moment, Karan Johar jumps in and said "He's again promoting Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 if I know right."Kartik in response said, "I'm at home, promoting Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2."

Vijay on his sex life

In an interesting 'Bingo' game in the episode, Vijay ticked a statement that reads, 'applied makeup to cover the hickey'. When questioned by Karan, Vijay disclosed that he covered his hickeys with makeup and also has make-out in public places. He shared, "It was on a boat. It was like a small yacht." When further asked no other public place? to that, he said 'that he did in cars'. In response, Karan said aren't they uncomfortable? The actor replied, 'desperate times' (with a wink)

Vijay on his relation with Rashmika Mandanna

On the show, he also opened up about his bond with Rashmika Mandanna. The actor said "we have done 2 films together and she is a darling. I'm very fond of her. She is a very good friend of mine and we share so much through films like lots of highs and lots of lows. A bond gets created. In films, you are put into close proximity very quickly and so a bond develops quicker."

Vijay on nepotism in the Telugu film industry

Reacting to Karan's question on breaking out in an industry that is dominated by families, Vijay said, "It's definitely not easy breaking in when you are like a start outsider with absolutely no access to the industry at all. It makes it much harder to be alienated. I don't know if I would say that. Basically, my thoughts on this are that the worlds are not fair. We are not all born with the same financial status, we are not born with the same height, with the same looks, or with the same physical abilities and I had never blamed someone or disliked someone for being born to a rich father may be where I was struggling to pay rent, to someone born in the industry. It's not her fault or any star kid's fault that they are born to a parent who are acting".

He further shared that, "One day I will have a kid who is born into a family, it has nothing to do with him and the world is never fair for anyone, in any field, it's always in equally, you just have to work your ass off to get where you want, if you want to. There are benefits to being born a star kid but I would not change anything in my journey. I am very grateful for every insult, every hardship, and every obstacle that I have faced in my life".

Ananya on trolls

Ananya also spoke about the trolling she faces and how the once targetted at her family affects her. Speaking about it Ananya said, “My dad did have his fair share of failures. My younger sister Rysa and I have witnessed that as well. That has actually taken a toll on us. But when people keep bringing it up and laughing about it, it obviously does feel hurt. Then there was this joke that you are calling her a ‘star kid’ but her dad was never even a star! So things like that affect me, especially when it’s about my family.”
