Through a diverse range of genres, filmmakers transported the audience to a different world with engaging narratives. As OTT witnessed a boom in the last few years, the new phenomena gave wings to directors, writers and actors to never stop experimenting.
Today, on World Binge Day, let's look at the recent 10 web series that kept the nation hooked. From Jubilee on Prime Video to Rocket Boys 2 and Scam 2003, it's time to sit down and binge-watch!
Made In Heaven 2 - Prime Video
Made In Heaven 2, starring Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Mona Singh, Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Trinetra Haldar and others, was one of the most anticipated series of the year. It didn't disappoint. It revolved around wedding planners, who are dealing with problems in their respective personal spaces.

Scoop- Netflix
Loosely based on Behind The Bars In Byculla: My Days in Prison, a biography written by journalist and crime reporter Jigna Vora, Scoop starring Karishma Tanna, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Harman Baweja and others was about Jagruti Pathak, a senior bureau deputy and a celebrated crime reporter, who was accused of assassinating her fellow journalist.
Scam 2003- SonyLIV
Scam 2003, starring Gagan Dev Riar, was a retelling of the 2003 Stamp Paper Scam by Abdul Karim Telgi. Abdul Karim Telgi, born in Khanapur in Karnataka, was the mastermind behind one of India's most ingenious scams spread across 18 states which shook the entire country. It is estimated that the scam value was around Rs. 20,000 crores.
Dahaad- Prime Video
Dahaad was headlined by Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah. It revolved around Anjali Bhati, who has to solve the case of 20-odd missing women who co-incidentally commit suicide by consuming cyanide. It was screened at The Berlinale in February before its OTT release in May.
Rocket Boys 2- SonyLIV
Headlined by Jim Sarbh, Ishwak Singh, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Regina Cassandra, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Charu Shankar, C. Shankar, Namit Das, Saba Azad and ensemble, Rocket Boys 2 took the audience back in time to witness the world of Vikram Sarabhai and Homi Bhabha.
The Night Manager- Disney+ Hotstar
The Night Manager was the official Hindi adaptation of John le Carré's novel of the same name. Set in Bangladesh, it narrated the story of Shaan Sengupta who had to face Shelly Rungta to avenge a young girl's death.
Kohrra-Netflix
Set in Punjab, Kohrra followed the events after an NRI named Paul, who was about to get married, was brutally murdered. The cops investigating the case were played by Suvinder Vicky and Barun Sobti. As they navigated through Paul's gruesome murder, the dedicated police officers went through personal turbulence.
Asur 2-Voot
Asur 2 reunited Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti for yet another adventurous mission to save the country from the antagonist named Shubh. While it wasn't as impactful as the first season, the show certainly made for an entertaining watch.
Class-Netflix
Class starred Gurfateh Pirzada, Anjali Sivaraman, Ayesha Kanga, Chayan Chopra, Chintan Rachchh, Cwaayal Singh, Madhyama Segal, Moses Koul, Naina Bhan, Piyush Khati and Zeyn Shaw. It followed the journey of students at Hampton High, an elite school in Delhi, and how their lives changed when everyone was a suspect in a murder.
Jubilee-Prime Video
Jubilee was among the most acclaimed and popular shows. Set against the backdrop of the Golden Era of Bollywood, it was a layered drama about a studio boss, his movie-star wife, a trusted aide, a rising star, a nautch girl and a refugee. The cast included Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sidhant Gupta, Nandish Sandhu, and Ram Kapoor alongside Shweta Basu Prasad, Arun Govil, Sukhmanee Lamba, Aarya Bhatta, Narottam Bain, Alok Arora and Suhani Popli.
