India's most loved comedian, Kapil Sharma, finds a home on Netflix and brings along his crazy but loyal cast of characters. 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' is a variety chat show set in the bustling confines of an airport and features prominent celebrity guests every week.
The series will expand to global audiences, infusing Kapil Sharma's signature wit with classic Indian humor. The show features Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda, among others.
Netflix posted the announcement video on their Instagram account a while ago. The video shows Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Archana Puran Singh discussing how they should make the announcement in a unique style.
The caption of the promo read, "Aapke ghar ka raasta, hasee se hokar jaata hai. The Great Indian Kapil Show arrives at 8 p.m. every Saturday from March 30th, only on Netflix."

The video starts as Kapil Sharma says, "The show's announcement should be grand." Archana Puran Singh says, "I have an idea; we should reveal the name at some iconic or historic places like Times Square, Burj Khalifa, or Big Ben." Meanwhile, Krushna interrupts and says, "Look, it's an Indian show; we should do it on the Gateway of India.
In a funny banter, comedian Rajiv Thakur says, "We can't do it on the Gateway of India." Krushna asks, "Why?" Rajiv continues, "Because our budget has fallen short as Grover bhai has come on board." After this, Sunil Grover enters the room, and everybody stares at him with astonishment.
Meanwhile, Kiku suggests announcing the name by 'skywriting.' Kapil asks, "Skywriting?" Recalling their past argument that happened in the sky during a flight, Sunil sarcastically suggested, "Let's stay away from planes."
At the end of the video, while they are busy in their conversations, we see the name of Kapil's new show titled 'The Great Indian Kapil Show,' brought in by two men.
Netflix on Thursday announced its upcoming slate of Indian programming at an event called Next, where a variety of films and shows were announced. Among all the shows and films, 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' was also announced. The whole cast of the show, including Kapil and Sunil, were also present at the event.
At the event, the team of the show expressed their enthusiasm about transitioning to OTT and shared, "Finding our new home at Netflix has been one of the best things to have happened to us. And like we mentioned previously as well, Bas Ghar Badla Hai, Parivaar Nahi."
"We are excited and all geared up to entertain our fans not just in India but across the globe. Dil thaam ke baithiye, as we present to you, The Great Indian Kapil Show, from March 30 only on Netflix!"
'The Great Indian Kapil Show' can be watched on Netflix starting March 30 every Saturday at 8 p.m.
