Season 2 of Dice Media's superhit series âOperation MBBS' unveiled a soul-stirring narrative of the struggles doctors faced with the onset of the pandemic, and parallelly, the journeys of MBBS students during their most crucial 2nd year of the degree. This season was truly exceptional as it paid respect to the relentless efforts of the medical fraternity and more! Through the topical nature of the content and a gripping storyline, the show has topped the web charts, crossing more than 38 million views, with each episode crossing 5 million views. The first episode of Season 2 generated 3M+ views in just 24 hours and was trending at #3 while episode 2 and 3 were trending at #1 (all over India) for 48 hours!
The three protagonists Nishant (Ayush Mehra), Huma (Sarah Hashmi) and Sakshi (Anshul Chauhan) are shown in a whole new light with exemplary performances from Nishant when he stands up for himself against his Senior Yadav, and the helplessness he feels when he realizes his father hasn't gone back home from his clinic in order to fulfill his duties as a doctor. Huma's emotions were felt off-screen as well by audiences, as they empathized with her during her panic attack, brought on by her fear of not living up to her mother's expectations. Sakshi has truly given justice to her bold character in the scene when she stands up to fight for Ramesh Kaka when she realizes he was following a wrong prescription given by the doctor. She is conflicted, and baffled when she comes to realize the dean, whom she blamed for the prescription, took the blame of another student on herself and has tested positive for COVID-19. Through such stories, each episode in the season was engrossing and kept audiences glued to their screens wanting to know what was going to happen next.
Director Amrit Raj Gupta has taken this season a notch higher, with every scene bringing out the raw emotions that the characters depict, definitely making it a must-watch show. Not to miss, Karthik Rao's and Arbinda Neog's soulful music is sure to make you skip a heartbeat. Writers Ayesha Nair, Puneet Batra, and Dr. Pravin Yadav have once again penned down the series with all their heart, lending authenticity to the narrative where some of the dialogues have even gone on to become inspirational quotes for many. Creative Director Ajay Kumar, Supervising Producer Venkat Ravichandar, Executive Producer Karan Dev, DOP Aditya Desai, Siddhant Khemka, and the entire crew's hard work is definitely visible in the success of the series.
The anticipation of the series was so high that over 140k people watched the live premier of the finale episode.
