It's evident that Bhagyashree's kids have inherited her love for movies. In 2019, the Maine Pyar Kiya star's son Abhimanyu Dassani forayed into Bollywood with the quirky Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Three years on, his sister Avantika is ready for her brush with showbiz. mid-day has learnt that she has bagged Rohan Sippy's yet-untitled psychological thriller, which also features Huma Qureshi and Parambrata Chattopadhyay.
A source closely associated with the Applause Entertainment-backed show reveals that it is currently on floors in Mumbai. "The team kicked off the shoot late last year. Despite it being her first project, Avantika has delivered an impressive performance, holding her own in front of seasoned actors like Parambrata and Huma. Her character is complex, and influences the story," says the source. The makers are in talks with a leading OTT platform and are looking at a possible release later in the year.
