Kirti Kulhari
Back from Serbia, her first vacation in one-and-a-half years, Kirti Kulhari is now looking forward to shooting for 'Four More Shots Please Season 3'. The Europe schedule of the hit series got stalled due to the lockdown in April 2021. Claiming that she sometimes feels detached from her character, she adds that "it can happen even without a lockdown". "It's the nature of an actor's job to pick [the character] up again. An emotional disconnect with a character is a reality. The sooner I learn to reconnect with the character [Anjana Menon], the better I will be. While carrying the character back home is not an option, I cannot be unaware of her beats when I am back on the shoot."
As an actor, she says the profession doesn't allow her the liberty to make a big deal of the predicament. "It is one of the basic things we learn as actors - to attach and detach." Admitting that the lockdown occasionally put the ability to test, Kulhari says, "There are days we cannot feel 100 per cent in sync with the character, but we have to gather ourselves and play it sincerely. I am always pushing myself. That said, I have trained myself to believe that I am only human."
The third instalment of the Rangita Pritish Nandy series, which is being helmed by Joyeeta Patpatia, will resume shoot in July, provided every member of the cast and crew is vaccinated.
