Gulshan Devaiah
He has played a cop before, but that doesn't deter Gulshan Devaiah from taking on another role as an officer of the law because the treatment and projection differ drastically. In a highly anticipated untitled action series, the actor will once again don the garb of a cop, but the prep has not been easy. Reflecting on his experience, Devaiah says, "We are in the middle of filming this eight-episode series, and it has been both fun and painful. The action sequences and stunts were difficult to pull off, but the real tough thing to do was the running."
Aditya Datt directed the series, and Ravi Varma choreographed the action sequences. Devaiah elaborated that the demanding nature of the filming took its toll. "Our director and action director had designed sequences that required me to run over 100 to 200 metres for multiple takes, over a dozen times. A few stuntmen even threw up. It was that taxing on our systems," he disclosed. Despite facing hurdles, he remained resilient, demonstrating his commitment to delivering a compelling performance. "It was a real struggle considering the fact that I had twisted my ankle during a cable stunt rehearsal."
