Actor Apeksha Porwal is currently riding high on the success of her international English-Arabic series 'Slave Market'. The actress is garnering a lot of appreciation for her gritty and praiseworthy performance in the series. Reportedly, the web show is trending at no. 1 Arab content on the streaming platform Shahid and emerges as one of the most viewed content in India on Shahid.
The actress is already being appreciated for her acting skills. Former Miss India Apeksha played the character of Princess Lavani. Sharing her excitement about the reviews of her international series, she said, "We are halfway through the series and have 5 episodes out so far and the response has already been overwhelming. I am so grateful for the love and appreciation coming in from our Arabic viewers. My character goes through quite a difficult journey in the show and I am grateful people are giving their love to Lavani. This whole experience has been a wonderful ride, working with cast and crew of so many different nationalities on this magnum opus, is a dream come true in itself. And now the reviews coming in are like the cherry on the cake."
The nine-episode show - produced by Middle-Eastern media giant MBC Studios, written by famed writer Kuwait's Heba Mashari Hamada and directed by award-winning Tunisian director Lassaad Oueslati - is set in the 1900s and follows the journey of Apeksha Porwal, who plays an Indian princess and her entrapment into slavery along with a turbulent love story.
