Vivaan Shah has recently talked about equality and its necessity. He stated, in context of his show Sutliyan, "I think that all those issues which are shown in Sutliyan are very important issues which we have begun to discuss from the last couple of years because these are very important issues in society that are going on since ages now. Some parts of our society are so narrow minded when it comes to women, gender, and sexuality that there is scope for correction when it comes to the way we tend to undermine a woman's financial independence, the gap between men and women, etc."
He added, "These are the things which we need to think about, we need to talk about, and we need to take practical measures to ensure that we leave a better world for the future generations. These kinds of stigma, narrow mindness, backward regressive thinking need to be demolished and we need to understand why they happen and we need to correct them from every point of view. We can become a better world for future generations, a world which is more progressive because we need a world with more equality."
And speaking exclusively to mid-day, Ayesha Raza said, "We age women very fast in Bollywood, there's a grandchild involved in the series and I'm really not that old. It was such a beautiful part and I had the opportunity to headline the show with such beautiful actors so you take these opportunities. Eventually you are an actor but if you tell me to play such a role in an ad I may not.."
