Best remembered as the strong-headed girl named Pratigya from the show Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, Pooja Gor was born on June 1, 1991, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She went to Ahmedabad's A.G. High and studied Commerce from S.M.P.I.C, Ahmedabad. If not an actor, Pooja Gor would have pursued an MBA and take up a job in Bank. It is still a dream unfulfilled for the actress. Pooja Gor is a fitness freak. Her tryst with fitness started in 2013. "Wanting to be healthy and fit was my goal. And for that, I experimented with a lot of activities. But joining an activity or going to the gym and being consistent was a challenge because of my working hours," she said.

Perceived by many as a shy person, thanks to her roles in Kitani Mohabbat Hai and Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, Pooja Gor displayed her daring side when she participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 5. She had a very small stint in the show, as she got eliminated too soon. However, the show helped Pooja overcome her fears to some extent.
Talking specifically about taking fitness seriously, Pooja Gor had said, "I realised that I needed something that was possible to do, at the least amount of time that I could spare from my routine as compromising on health was not an option. I needed something to increase my lung capacity. Soon a friend introduced me to running."
Gor initially thought running as something that was an activity for professional athletes. "But I thought, let me give it a try. After a few sessions of early morning runs, I understood that I had found my activity. An activity that would fit my routine perfectly as running can be done anywhere, anytime you get," she said. Talking about Pooja Gor's professional life, she made her acting debut in 2009 with the show Kitani Mohabbat Hai, alongside Karan Kundra and Kritika Kamra. But she struck gold as the strong-minded bahu in Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, where she played Pratigya for four years.
After the show, Pooja Gor was also seen hosting the crime drama show Savdhaan India. She was also seen in Ek Nayi Ummeed - Roshni, but the show ended after 90 episodes.
