Like for the past few seasons, Bigg Boss 13 also saw host Salman Khan introducing the contestants. Sidharth Shukla, Asim Riaz, Siddharth Dey, Paras Chhabra, Abu Malik, Mahira Sharma, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rashami Desai, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, Shefali Bagga, Dalljiet Kaur, Koena Mitra and Arti Singh were the contestants, who entered the house. The thirteenth season was full of love, action, drama, affairs, fights, and arguments right from the very beginning till the end. Bigg Boss 13 saw some of the biggest fights in the history of the reality show.

Rashami's cooking skills were the point of contention for one of the first fights in the season. The fight got so ugly that Asim tried to attack her with the choicest of statements, even trying to pull her out of her bed. Soon after Paras took over and tried to fight Asim off. Shehnaaz, who was always around during such times, supported Asim and even instigated him further. Mahira tried to pacify the two fighting men and asked Asim to calm down. A miffed Asim ended up snapping at her for calling him her brother at her own convenience.

In the fourth week, the task of the week 'Snakes and Ladders' took an ugly turn as the contestants got aggressive to the point of physical confrontation. Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Shehnaaz Kaur Gill also engaged in a heated argument that soon turned physical. Later, an angry Devoleena was seen slapping her.

Two weeks later, Sidharth Shukla got into a verbal fight with the other contestants forcing Bigg Boss to ground him for two weeks. Sidharth wasn't the only one. The week also saw Mahira Sharma and Paras Chhabra being jailed for engaging in a heated war of words. Of course, that didn't stop the fight club. The following week witnessed an ugly banter between Sidharth and Asim. The two were seen hurling abuses at each other. The fight was so ugly that Sidharth and Asim, who were in the beginning as thick as thieves, vowed not to cross each other's paths again.

The 12th week brought Sidharth back in action (hardly a week went by without him being in the spotlight), this time with Rashami and Arhaan. Rashami was also seen throwing tea at Sidharth. Then, Sidharth did the same. An agitated Sidharth lost his temper on Arhaan and ended up tearing his shirt.

The 14th week came as a shocker for Rashami, who came to know that her beau Arhaan was married to another woman and had a child too. The information was revealed by a visibly angered Salman Khan. Inside the house, Arhaan and Rashami's love affair was the talk. After getting evicted, Arhaan said that he was unhappy with the makers of the show for bringing up his past.

The same week saw another fight between Mahira and Paras. Paras tried to console Mahira, who was fuming after getting into a verbal exchange with Rashami. He asked her why she was frustrated and then went on to cover her mouth forcefully. This gesture seemed to have irritated Mahira, who then slapped him.

Bigg Boss 13 controversies remain incomplete without the infamous Vishal-Madhurima fight. From throwing water at each other to Madhurima slapping Vishal and then hitting him with a frying pan, the latter part of the season brought out the worst between the two. Madhurima was evicted in the 16th week, while Vishal followed her two weeks later.

Bigg Boss 13 also saw Salman doing household chores for the first time in the history of the show. With the inmates regularly fighting over performing their duties, host Salman Khan took it upon himself to teach them a lesson. Salman entered the house armed with cleaning equipment and started washing utensils, followed by cleaning the fridge and the gas area. Locked inside the bedroom, the contestants were in an absolute shock looking at the actor performing their duties.

Of course, not everything was about fights and drama. Bigg Boss 13 also gave us much-needed laughs and entertainment. For some, the friendship didn't take time to turn into romance. Several contestants seemed to found love inside the Bigg Boss house in the past few seasons and BB 13 was no exception.

The first few weeks were dominated by some (actually, lots of) romantic moments between Sidharth Shukla and Rashami Desai. The actors, who had shared screen space together in the daily soap Dil Se Dil Tak before entering the reality show, had publicly spoken about their differences. In one of the tasks, Bigg Boss showed the contestants a clip of Rashami and Sidharth's romantic scene from their show.

Rashami and Arhaan's PDA was also the talk of the town. Arhaan was seen cosying up to Rashami from the time he entered the house, and his public display of affection towards her was noticed by all. The affection reached its peak when Arhaan proposed to Rashami, who, however, did not give any reply at that moment.

While the housemates were reeling from Rashami-Sidharth's fight and Rashami-Arhaan's romance, the third couple who was bitten by the love bug was Asim and Himanshi. Inside the house, the two were seen spending a lot of time together and getting to know each other. A few weeks later, Himanshi was evicted from the house.

Himanshi did come back to the house in the eighteenth week as a connection for Asim. The latter was delighted to see her back and decided to give her a surprise. Asim went down on one knee to propose to her. Himanshi, however, neither accepted nor rejected his proposal. She instead told him that she needed time and that they would sort it all out outside the Bigg Boss house.

Another couple who couldn't keep their hands off each other was Mahira Sharma and Paras Chhabra.

The two were often found sitting together, away from the others as they discussed issues inside the house. During one of their "casual" discussions, Paras was even seen kissing Mahira. Even after Bigg Boss ended, the two continued to remain good friends and are regularly spotted enjoying each other's company.

But it was Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Kaur Gill's romance that painted the Bigg Boss town red throughout the season. Their (love) story got so popular that fans gave their bond a new name "#Sidnaaz".

Their love story took a turn when Shehnaaz confessed her feelings for him. This happened after Sidharth went to console her after she had a verbal spat with Salman Khan. After she professed her love for him, Sidharth replied: "Theek hai." This irked the Punjabi singer, who was seen asking him to say he that loves her too. She even threatened to hit herself if he didn't. She also gave him a tight hug, asking him to hug her in return. After dilly-dallying a bit, Sidharth hugged her back, and even said, "I love you too."

The season also saw some light-hearted moments from celebrities who graced the show. From Shilpa Shetty teaching the inmates yoga, to Farah Khan bombarding them with questions; from Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor pumping up the excitement by showing off their dance moves to Saif Ali Khan playing guitar, celebrities made sure to keep the entertainment quotient high on Bigg Boss 13.

Finally, on the night of February 16, 2020, a 140-day journey of the thirteenth season of Bigg Boss ended with a great grand finale.

The finalists - Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, Asim Riaz, Sidharth Shukla, Paras Chhabra, Arti Singh, and Rashami Desai continued to entertain the crowd right till the end.

Sidharth Shukla emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 13 while Asim Riaz ended up as the first runner-up. Rashami Desai emerged as the second runner-up.

Sidharth Shukla was often taunted for being in the bad books of the viewers due to his constant fights with other contestants inside the Bigg Boss house. But in the end, Sidharth defeated all the contestants and emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 13.

As they say, all's well that ends well.
