The 14th season of Bigg Boss started with a bang! On day 1, the house got divided into freshers and seniors. Sidharth Shukla, Gauahar Khan, and Hina Khan, the ex Bigg Boss contestants were given the task of making all the rules now, and the new contestants had no choice but to listen to them. Gauahar Khan read the most dreaded yet awaited rule book of Bigg Boss, which declared her as the head of the kitchen, while Sidharth Shukla was declared master of the bedroom, and Hina Khan the principal of the BB Mall, which meant that nothing moves in these areas without their will or command.

Though stressed, the contestants' sportsmanship showed that nothing Bigg Boss did could knock them down easily. The second half of the first day began with a bang when Nikki Tamboli and Jasmin Bhasin got into a huge argument over washing utensils which lead to a big turmoil. The misunderstanding created such a huge fight that Jasmin Bhasin broke down and started crying.

The second day also saw the seniors continuing their domination inside the house. The seniors took their position seriously and constantly tried to make life difficult for the contestants. The seniors engaged in a war of words, first with Rubina Dilaik and then with Pavitra Punia.

On the second day, Rubina Dilaik, visibly upset from the constant pressure by the seniors, snapped back. As a challenge, Rubina was asked to wear the same clothes for a week and if she successfully completes the task, she will no longer be forbidden from moving inside the house. Similarly, Jaan was asked to get a mohawk haircut, while Nishant was challenged to wear a bikini for the entire week.

As the day progressed, another fight erupted between Gauahar and Pavitra. When the latter was about to sit for her lunch, Gauahar interrupted to which Pavitra took major offence. She said that she did not appreciate Gauahar asking her if she has checked on other seniors before grabbing her meal when she was about to take her first morsel. Visibly upset, Pavitra sought an explanation from Gauahar further intensifying the situation.

The third day also went almost on the same lines. During the Jewel Thief task, the contestants had to impress the seniors with their skills and win pieces of jewellery from them. The team with the most pieces was considered the winner. The task led to some heated arguments between the seniors, with Gauahar calling out Sidharth for his unfair means. She was particularly upset with Sidharth's team taking away Hina and Gauahar's pieces before they can even settle in.

Sidharth also had an argument with Eijaz Khan when the latter refused to do the dishes, instead of saying that all housemates must clean their respective cups and plates.

The fourth day saw a big fight between Rahul Vaidya and Pavitra Punia. Pavitra picked up on Rahul for ignoring wet tissues in the bathroom while he was in charge of the bathroom cleaning. Angered by this accusation, Rahul snapped at her and dispraised the quality and the taste of the food that Pavitra had been cooking. Pavitra then accused Rahul of flirting with other women in the house.

The Rahul story didn't end here. The same day, when Jaan Kumar Sanu took some extra chutney for breakfast, Rahul Vaidya immediately taunted him for it. But Nishant quickly came to his rescue and asked Jaan to tell him that he is eating only his portion. Rahul was not one to keep quiet and went on talking about Jaan, who pointed out that even he saw Rahul taking some extra food the previous day but he did not stop him. Nishant also agreed to it. This did not go down well with Rahul, who started shouting and talking rudely with Nishant. Nishant too raised his voice but told him that he should practice what he preaches and then should give lessons to others.

On the other hand, Rubina once again found herself in conflict with the seniors. Adamant about treating the wardrobe items in the Bigg Boss Mall in a certain way and fighting for her basics, Rubina ended up getting into a verbal spat with Hina Khan.

The difference between their opinions stroked a huge argument that forced Hina and Gauahar to decide against Rubina and further add to her difficulties. Making it tough for her, even Abhinav was seen taking the other side and explained to Rubina that she was wrong.

The next day, Bigg Boss announced a task that spelt good news for some contestants but was bad news for Abhinav and Nikki. The duo who had won the immunity for themselves now had to guard it while other contestants were allowed to snatch it from Abhinav and Nikki.

This was an endurance task wherein the contestants were required to sit inside a bulldozer scoop while the other contestants had to pull them out of it and get them to give up. Whoever survived inside the scoop until the final buzzer was declared as the winner of this task. As Abhinav and Nikki faced the challenges head-on, the co-contestants threw chillies, shaving foam, makeup, and everything available inside the house to break them and win the immunity.

The week saw enough fights, arguments, and dramas, but the house also saw some light and entertaining moments. In one of the tasks, we saw the ladies grooving with Sid Shukla on 'Sid-Island', in a rain dance, and raising temperatures! Rubina Dilaik, Jasmin Bhasin, Nikki Tamboli, and Pavitra Punia were seen trying to woo Sidharth Shukla as they danced with him.

Amid all the hustle and bustle came Bigg Boss 14's first Weekend Ka Vaar. Host Salman Khan made face-to-conversations with the contestants. Salman lashed out for the heated arguments that happened inside the house. He praised Rubina for standing up for herself against the Seniors and making sure she's heard while reprimanding her husband Abhinav for interfering in her game.

Impressed by Nikki Tamboli, Salman Khan praised her for her great dedication for the game and her consistent approach towards performing each task. In a major surprise and happiness for her, Salman allowed Nikki to two-minute unlimited access inside the BB Mall and to pick up whatever she wishes to. An excited Nikki rushed and grabbed hairbands, coffee, clothes, bags, and all that she fancied within while the rest of the housemates could only watch!

For the contestants, the first week inside the Bigg Boss 14 house has been a tumultuous ride with many connections being formed and many broken. With the seniors continuing to create havoc in the lives of the newbies, it will be interesting to see what the second week has in store.
