After the grand success of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati-14', here comes a week-long show ‘KBC Juniors’

It all started off on 3 July 2000 when Indians witnessed the revolutionary ‘desi’ version of the extremely popular ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The show was called ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and was hosted by the one and only Amitabh Bachchan.

It all started off on 3 July 2000 when Indians witnessed the revolutionary ‘desi’ version of the extremely popular ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The show was called ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and was hosted by the one and only Amitabh Bachchan. Little did they know that, one day, the show will revolutionize the way one looked at television and that ‘idiot box’ will no longer be known as the ‘idiot box’.  The latest update of the show is that, the makers are now all set to start a week-long ‘KBC Juniors’, where the kids from the age 8 to 15 years will be bringing in their backpacks stories of their sweet childhood!

The first episode of the ‘KBC Juniors’ series will see lead actor Kajol and director of 'Salaam Venky', Revathi as the celebrity guests. Then on from curious cats to cartwheeling cool cats, contestants of different acumen will be seen coming onto the hotseat to play the game. In addition to that, they will also be engaged with the host in some fun and entertaining conversations, talking about different things under the sun from their life in school to spending time with family. 

Just like the ‘lifeline’ was the lifeline of the KBC format, even ‘KBC Juniors’ will have a lifeline called ‘gyaanastra’. The specialty of this magnificent sounding lifeline will be that kids who are not able to answer a given question will have the choice to flip it and answer a question according to their favored subject like entertainment or space. 

The lifeline ‘Video Call A Friend’ will also be changed to ‘Video Call An Expert’. These experts will range will be esteemed personalities like Amish Tripathi and Sudha Murthy, who will be coming on a video call and help the kids with their questions! 

The otherwise dressed in serious three-piece suits Amitabh Bachchan will be seen ditching this attire and will be seen opting for a dapper look wherein he will be seen wearing clothes much suited to the trend of today, like colourful hoodies and sweatshirts with sneakers. Besides hosting the show, Big B will also be seen and enjoying with the young kids as he listens to their quirky conversations. 

The 'Kids Week Special' will be starting from December 5 at 9 pm on 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 14' on Sony Entertainment Television.
